Not a big deal. For him. He does stuff like that all the time. He's a special player.

Dude is sick. He'll be the most talented player we've had in a long long long long time.

Until Robert Woodard steps foot on campus. We are stockpiling talent to the likes we have never seen before in Starkville and it wouldn't surprise me if we challenge and win the SEC championship starting next year.

Robert Woodard is talented but he is not on the level of N. Weatherspoon.

Definitely not from a sheer athleticism standpoint. What Robert does have is 1 of the best basketball minds & understanding of the game of any 15-16yr old kid I've seen in MS. You can tell he's grown up around the game & has good influences around him.

I think Woodard is going to be a truly great college player, so it's tough, but I do agree that Weatherspoon is the better prospect right now, especially when looking ahead to the NBA. I think Weatherspoon is actually still slightly underrated nationally. I think he's a top 10 talent.

In additon to his smarts, Woodard is a physical presence too. He was 210-220 as a 10th grader and will only get stronger. We will be hell to deal with if we get him along with what we already have.

What is Woodard's game? Never seen him play expect for a few highlights. With his frame I'd expect a slasher that can finish, have no idea if he can shoot. Will he play 2 & 3 for us? Is he a stronger, beefier Q?

He plays the 5 for Columbus. Had 11 blocked shots in a game the other day. He will need to play the 3 at MSU, maybe the stretch 4 at times.

I haven't seen him play this year but that's not surprising with all Columbus lost off last year's state title team. They had more size in the front court than some college teams did.

But back on topic, he played the 3 last year and the few times I saw him play he was impressive. Really good mid range shooter. Uses his strength to get to the basket and had some post moves. I don't remember him shooting any 3s but that's not to say he doesn't have that kind of range. He might I just can't speak to it.

From what I know (which is admittedly little), he seems to be a guy who relies more on his strength, intelligence, and instincts than on his athleticism. So sort of a bigger, smarter version of Jamont Gordon, something like that? To me, he is a guy who will fit best as a point forward on the next level.

Robert isn't an elite athlete like Stapleton but he's a very good athlete. He's about 6'7" 225-230lbs but he carries it very well. He looks like a NBA small forward is supposed to. He has a very nice jumper & range to well beyond 3. He also is very comfortable playing on the post as well so he has a lot of versatility. He's the total package as far as smarts, offense, defense, hustle, etc.
