Out one of the best teams in the playoffs. Dallas didn't wake up until around 7 minutes left on the first half and down 21-3. Green Bay played last week and kept their machine well oiled, while Dallas hasn't started up their engine for 3 weeks time. This showed in Dallas' play in the first and second halves. New England showed the same last night and KC is doing the same tonight. New England was just lucky enough to play an overrated team with a shitty QB. Dallas and KC aren't as lucky and we see where they stand after a half of play. The byes are nice to rest people, but you can't afford to allow a hot team jump out on you while you try to shake off the rust.

Not having a bye may have cost the packers jordy nelson for the season. Pro's and con's to both. Ill take the bye.

I believe in momentum. Rest is overrated. The cowboys will be getting plenty of rest during the off season now.

Unless the lack of a bye and resting players affected dallas's pass rush, then I disagree. You have to be able to pressure Rodgers, either with your down 4 or by sending guys. When Dallas sent guys yesterday, rodgers was average. When they didn't, he torched them.

The problem with Dallas was the coaches, and defense. The offense was fine the coaches screwed up by sending in the wrong substitution group causing a penalty that stopped a drive in the first half. That was the difference in the game! The offense, "Dak" got them back in the game, then the defense could not stop them, the coaches, then rushed 3, in the PREVENT to win D which LOST the game!

No leaving 35 seconds on the clock did, especially after Crosby just hit a 56 yarder.

Football is a complimentary game. Yes, ultimately it was on the defense for losing that game but if the offense had been more efficient they might have been able to compensate even more for the defensive inefficiency. It's impossible to know whether the rest hurt except for looking at the statistics.

The stupid penalty with the player in the huddle bit them in the ass.

Cowboys could do better on the coaching side... plus Romo needs to go to Bronco's to free up some $$..
Cowboys need a RT and all sorts of Defensive Players

For this upcoming year, getting rid of Romo only saves $5 MIL of cap space but after that it helps. But all parties will have to be creative to move him and at least some of that contract

Yeah that was a 37 yard penalty. Negated a 22 yard gain along with being a 15 yard penalty. Dallas had looked solid offensively on the first drive that ended in a fg, and was moving on the second drive until that happened.

I wouldn't call Houston overrated. They were appropriately rated. Very good defense, and a terrible QB that they weren't going to win shit behind and only won their first playoff game before Carr broke his leg in week 16, then the backup hurt his shoulder in week 17, and as bad as osweiler is, he did start a bunch this season, which is better than a rookie 3rd stringer making his first career start on the road in the playoffs against one of the best defenses in the league. Literally no one thought Houston was anything except what they are. The pats benefited from playing easily the worst team left in the playoffs, and yeah, it took them a half to knock off the rust.

Yep, that penalty cost them at least another FG and then on the next drive Dak rolled out and hit a guy 20 yards downfield right in the chest and he drops it. That turned into a 3 and out as well.
