Was just thinking it might be good to have a common thread for posting any reactions we're getting from recruits. Perhaps pin it?

Nothing good so far. Oliver is close to decommitting. https://n.rivals.com/news/4-star-db-kaleb-oliver-will-look-around-after-miss-st-coaching-news

Isn't he more of a lb hybrid? Doesn't grantham use bigger OLBs?

Yeah I think so. I'm sure we still want him, though.

It said Louisville was after him before so at least maybe Grantham has some connection. It primarily sounded like Sirmon was his primary recruiter so that might affect his decision.

I was kinda wondering how he'd fit into Grantham's system too.

UL was recruiting him as well so he must be an okay fit.

Can't worry too much about some of this stuff. There is almost always some recruiting fallout when coaching changes are made this close to signing day but it is what it is. Recruits never like losing an existing relationship they have with a coach they've committed to even if that coach wasn't producing much. Plus, in this case, Grantham is going to come in here as a fiery emotional guy whereas Sirmon seemed very even tempered, almost more of a laid back defensive coach. Personally, I would rather have the guy with some fire to run my defense but some recruits may prefer one style over the other.
