That's what I was told... supposedly decided long ago.

Rosebowl saying it seems as if Sirmon decided to leave on his own.

I'm just glad he's gone. The thought of having Sirmon back next year was making me sick! Our D last year was one of the worst I've ever seen

Story I am hearing is that we found out Sirmon was looking, so we started looking. It worked out for everyone.

Except Louisville. What in the hell are they thinking?

Petrino could care less who coaches his defense. They're just out there to give his offense a rest

Sounds like at least Colorado came to their senses.

Who cares. It ended up like we needed it to. I wish the guy well. Move on.

If I had one wish it was that this was done sooner so that we had more time before NSD.

Well we all know Mullen fired Torbush, but officially Torbush left Msu for kansas. Therefore, i think mullen told him to look around but let Sirmon appear that it was his choice. I dont recall a single time Mullen fired an assistant even Wilson. They all left for another job. I think he obviously does this on purpose.

I like to see how much pay raise he got for the move.

That's what Rosie indicated earlier today. Now he's saying that Mullen wasn't happy with the D performance and Sirmon himself wasn't happy and Dan was looking ... so Sirmon looked too. Hell, lotta stories out there about a lot of things ... not sure what is fact or fiction.

What matters is that we came out with best end of the deal. Now if we could just find a good OL coach, we may be able to compete with the top teams in the SEC.
