View Full Version : With all the talent Auburn has, Gus cannot win without a half ass QB...

White can't run and Johnson couldn't hit water if he fell out of a carnival cruise liner. Any decent defense will scheme against either and shut them down.

If Auburn didn't play the game better than just about everyone, they'd be a celler dweller.

Astonishing to see how much talent they waste yearly. They can't even develop a semi-soft turd after eating a hamburger and fries. If we had one or their classes every 2 years, we'd win the west at least once every 3-4 years, if not more. Put their talent with our development and we'd wreak havoc.

Maybe one day we'll bring in half the talent they do, because we seem to do more with less.

Gus has developed one QB ever and he didn't do anything after college. Can was a one year kid. That's all he's ever had. If he had a Dan Mullen on staff, they'd be pretty good. Gus is great at designing running plays and finding ways to get good matchups out of the spread for a power running game. His passing offense and QB development leaves a lot to be desired.

When the convicts are running the asylum.... Remember that huge talent dump they had a few years back when Duke Williams left the team. Think about how much turmoil a player of that talent level has to cause for Gus to finally kick him off the team. When you buy players they own you.

To be fair not many teams can win without a QB. But Gus' "development" is not that far ahead of Freeze's when it come to QB play. I guess that's where Hugh learned from.

Remember, Gus let Rhett Lashley convince him to give JF3 a scholarship as a QB. That ought to let you know how much he knows about QB development.

I'll be interested to see how Stidham does at Auburn next year.

Wasn't talking about Cam. You're right. He didn't develop Cam. Was talking about the kid who went from DB to QB. That's a good job coaching QBs. Other than that, he's done nothing.

Really Clark?
