It just doesn't seem right for Penn State to already be in a game this big since their sanctions. It didn't hurt their program at all.

Appears to be a smart QB that sees the field.

Windup arm action won't work at the higher levels or likely against elite competition.

Solid college QB that can win. Falls into the Greg McElroy category for me

Probably both. No doubt Franklin is a hell of a coach, but the Big 10 is fairly easy to elevate in. Especially for a team like Penn State that is the flagship school of a heavily populated state & has about 700 K living alumni

If you really think about the advantages & disadvantages of a job, Penn State isn't that much different than Ohio State in terms of resources. Both have great traditions, both in the Big 10, both are the flagship school in a states that are just about the same size population wise, and both are in cold weather states. About the only real advantages Ohio State has over Penn State is the location of the school within the state & Urban Meyer

He's already solid.

I just don't see him as a high ceiling guy because I don't love the athleticism or arm action. He's solid.

Just because he's a redshirt freshman doesn't mean he will physically improve very much. Players are like a finger print. They don't change. They just get stronger & a little smarter.

He refined himself, but he didn't become a completely different player.

As a freshman you saw the ability. All the tools were already there. He just refined things & became more consistent.

Dak's ceiling never changed. He just reached it.

For a guy like Darnold, he's a very solid QB, but he's basically already close to his ceiling.

I don't care if that guy is the best coach ever, The shit that Penn State covered up for years was reprehensible and they should have never been allowed to take another snap in a college football game. The entire program should have been burned to the ground.

Rose Bowl Game is like watching a 7 on 7 scrimmage. No defense but hey only a few in the country play defense.

I wish the NCAA would change some rules on defense, now days you can't touch QB or the receivers.

In today's games offense is the way to go, just outscore your opponent and be solid in the kicking games.

I suppose one day football will be a gloried flag football game.

Enjoyed it so far. That 2nd PSU TD was not a TD though. Dude was juggling it all the way until the time he was falling out of bounds and his second foot wasn't even in bounds anyway. Not sure how that one was upheld.

If penn state gets Godwin (junior) to come back, watch out... mcsorely and Barkley are sophomores. They start a senior at center, but start 3 freshmen and a sophomore on the oline. The senior center is the only starter on offense that's a senior. They only have 3 seniors starting on defense. Penn state and Ohio state are gonna be very good next season

Doesn't seem to be USC's night. Calls going against them, all of the tipped balls are falling into the hands of PSU players. And as I type this USC gets called for targeting.
