Storm Prediction Center has issue an enhanced possibility of severe storms tomorrow from about the Hwy 82 corridor south to the Gulf of Mexico. Enhanced indicates the possibility of numerous severe thunderstorms (some intense), with 1-2 inch hail, damaging winds and some tornadoes. Could be an interesting day.

I agree. Could be an interesting day for sure. Good thing I'm off work tomorrow so I might be able to go out.

Tornado warning for Green County, Ms. Large doppler indicated rotation headed for the city of Leaksville. No conformation of storm on ground yet. All the while, there is no tornado watch for MS.

Anything in store for North MS today?

Not too concerned for north ms. Not out of the woods but not the threat south ms has.

Really Clark?

Tornado possible in Covington and Smith counties right now. Another possible southwest of Columbia

My wife's family lives in Tylertown. She just called me a little freaked out. She said a tornado went through Tylertown. Her Grandfather lives on HWY 48 and her mother and dad just right down the road from them. There are apparently no trees left in her grandfather's yard.

I wonder if this is the one that is southwest of Columbia now.

Good deal. I still have some family in that area but they didn't have any damage.

Any injuries?

I wasn't sure where Mt. Olive is so looked it up. Wikipedia says it's the home of last year's Miss Mississippi, and also the home of Steve McNair. Not bad for such a small town.

No injurires that I know of. Lots of trees down between Mt. Olive and Hot Coffee. Got some chicken houses too.

No injuries on that storm. Like Cooter said, chicken houses were obliterated and lots of trees down. Also had a shop ripped from the foundation and dropped.

I think I saw it. When that line came through, the sound was incredible. There was a cloud north of me that resembled a tornado. That would have been headed directly at Mt Olive.

It was really fast-moving. Blew though and was gone in a couple minutes. Looks like some wind damage around Taylorsville and Bay Springs too.

It was loud at my place too. I could see the top of it and it was nasty looking.

Just got a phone alert from al.com that at least 4 have been killed by storms in Houston County, AL. That's the southeastern-most county in the state.

Yeah. Sadly, that's true. I think they were all at the same location.

Just looking at everything today and it looks like straight line winds beyond Mt. Olive. But I'm no weather expert...

Dang. There were only 17 tornado deaths in all of 2016. Not a good start to 2017.
