I'm not dead nuts certain, but I think he moved out of Columbus (OH) because Buckeye fans gave him shit for not being "pro OSU" enough....

Not sure if he left Columbus for that reason, but I can see how the fans there would think that. It's all a matter of perspective. All my Bama friends here think that Verne and Gary hate Alabama. Those from other SEC schools hold differing opinions.

I wouldn't blame Herb for a little homerism. We all probably would too if we were announcing an MSU (or in your case, Alabama) game. That said, he probably shouldn't be doing OSU games for that very reason.

Most fans I know, including Bammers, HATE V & G... I think they do a decent job...
