Will be looking forward to some of what you guys will have on tap for the weekend. I'll be living vicariously through y'all. I will not be cooking or drinking this weekend. Baby beast decided to show up 4 weeks early. I think he's coming home today. We'll see.

That seems to be the cool thing now. My cousin just had hers 3 weeks early and cousin-in-law over almost 2 months early

Congrats Beast. Hope y'all get home quick. Seems like just yesterday my soon to be 3 yr old was born 3 weeks early. Now he's asking to go hunting.

Had a solid week here. We spent several days at the deer camp. Took my son on a quite brief hunt and later killed a bow doe and watched her go down in <10 yards. Filets & corn on the grill now with sweet potatoes in the oven. Trying out a new grill light. Broke out the Blanton's as well.

Congrats beast. And it's always nice getting it done with a bow, speck. I'm letting others do the cooking this weekend.

No parties tonight, and we spent so much on good meals in Washington and NYC.

So I grilled myself and the W Girl filets, with asparagus, hasselback potatoes, and Caesar salad. Sierra Nevada Celebration to wash it down.

Looks damn good. My inlaws brought us steaks from a local steakhouse. This is a radically different NYE for me. I usually go to some sort of party or event and have a good time. Interestingly enough, I don't feel like I'm missing much.

Welcome to parenthood! We used to host great NYE parties in the mid to late 90s. I just turned to the W Girl five minutes ago and we debated going to sleep. Don't feel like I'm missing anything, but kids change priorities and the energy levels for sure. Best wishes to you and the expanding Beast family.

Sausage and chicken/pepper/onion kabobs on the grill in this pisser of a storm. Sierra Nevada is keeping me outside in it.

This rain is going to screw yalls trout fishing up for a while. So many good reports before all this rain

Kept thinking about it everytime I looked outside the last few days. I have been itching to go, but have been way too busy. While eating tonight, my wife said "I could really go for some more fish tacos soon". I just looked out the window and sighed.
