Wife wants to serve it new years. I know a basic one..

Rum
Cream
Powder sugar

Am I missing anything?

I used to be a bartender and can't say I've ever made any. Your recipe sounds like it should be good.

Go with a cask strength bourbon, you will at least get some flavor shining through that way.

1) Get bourbon, milk, ice, and coca-cola....

2) Take a large (24 oz) Tervis cup and fill it slap full of ice.

3) Take the bourbon (I choose Jim Beam, cuz I'm a white trash redneck) and slowly pour over the ice until the cup is, at least, 1/2 full.

4) Fill the remainder of the cup with coca-cola, garnish with a cigarette, and put the milk back in the fridge.
