Does he play in the first game against Charleston Southern? Im calling a near 100% chance he plays.

Yes..... he's better than Murphy and Gibson.

I'll buy

Lots of TEs and RBs without a lot of outside WRs... I hope we see more 2 RB sets and 2 te sets.

We really dont know how good Murphy and Gibson are ..... not sure what you are basing this on other than pure speculation

He will redshirt. Bookmark this thread bc very few seem to think so but I just know Dan is gonna want him to know the offense completely before playing. I can only think of 1 RB out of HS that Dan hasn't RS.

Barring at least 3 injuries to other RBs, he shirts

I can't predict this because I've given up on knowing the requisite abilities necessary for a RB to play in this offense.

I mean J Rob hardly played as a SO and Aeris got single digit carries in 7 of our first 8 games. I'm lost

less than 10% chance he plays

Williams, Gibson, DLee....and it takes a full season or more to learn how to pass block...50/50 chance he redshiirts

There's more to playing RB than just running the ball. A lot of RBs coming out of HS have a hard time learning assignments. That's been the issue wit younger backs. They have to be able to pick up the blitz and know the blocking schemes. I don't care if he runs a 4.3 and is the top RB in the world. Unless we are going to run every play, he has to know how to block, who to block, run routes..etc

I'm okay with RSing him, we have a lot of RB talent.

Aside from knowing the whole offense, he also has to learn how to run in a zone blocking scheme. A lot of his high school runs were behind an ol that would block down with a kick out by a fb or pulling guard, meaning the location of the hole was predetermined as opposed to being patient and finding a crease behind zone blocking. Aries talked at length about this the other day and said it took time but once it clicked, it really clicked.

I do think Kylin is more physically prepared than A-train was coming into college. We'll have to see if we have any RB attrition.

Hill's 5th year > Hill's 1st year

Problem solved.

How many legit RBs have ever stayed for a 5th year? Biggest injury risk & least to gain in a 5th year than any other position.

I think he's a 4 year guy if he doesn't redshirt, but, if he's a good as we hope, I'm not sure he'll even be here for 5 years.

If he can't help next year, then I'd red shirt him, but, if the coaches think he makes us better on special teams & can grow into more reps at RB as the season goes, I'd play him

If he's a top ten RB in the nation, that's great. If not, he'll be here for 5 years. Either sounds good to me.

With Mullen's track record we will be more likely to see Hill legally drinking a beer before we see him in the backfield.
