Peveto wasn't even coaching LB's at LSU. He was special teams and a defensive assistant. But for UNM it's about one thing, he was known as a recruiter and both of these guys were unemployed and available. They didn't pluck these two from another staff.

It is a clear sign of big problems whenever a team follows up a disappointing season, by keeping the head coach but replace many of the assistant coaches. From memory, I can't recall that ever working out well for the team. It's like bailing water on the Titanic. I think we tried it at the very end of JWS's tenure - and it didn't work then either.... At best, it keeps the head coach around for one more year - but the ending is inevitable.

For Lubick it's a little surprising but at least he's going to have top flight WR to work with along with a good QB. Worse landing spots for a year and yeah, if Freeze does get a show cause somebody is going to be the HC

It's because that shitbird doesn't ****ing know anybody. If they didn't coach girls hoops with him, at ark st or wherever with him or at OM he doesn't have a clue. Peveto prob has the same agent as one of the other coaches there and/or Peveto called looking for a job. Peveto is terrible.
