Nailed it. They are also all in the United States. We are both correct.

This is also correct. Dartmouth was the Indians, Siena was the Indians, Miami was the Redskins, and Seattle was the Chieftains.

I believe another link is that the NCAA made them change. Generic names like Indians, Savages, Braves, Redskins, etc., are not allowed but tribe names are ok if and only if the school gets permission from the tribe. Florida State (Seminoles) and Central Michigan (Chippewas) got permission, but the Sioux and Huron tribes told North Dakota and Eastern Michigan no.

Southeast Missouri State used to be the Otahkians, as well. Now the fighting Rick Rays (or RedHawks).

Not true, or at least not in all cases. I know Stanford's students decided to change theirs in the 70s.
