Dr. Greg Forbes has given us a TORCON of 5/10 tonight. Main threat looks to be straightline winds from a squall line but there's enough shear that there will be at least a small tornado threat.

Tornado watch in western Tennessee at the moment. And there's a winter weather advisory for the northern tier of counties in Mississippi and Alabama tomorrow morning.

It's up to 71 here now ... gone up about 8 degrees in the past couple of hours on a pretty significant SW wind. And we could have freezing rain by 6 a.m.

Great, I'm gonna get smoked, again....

I've had 5 of those 17ers come within 1-2 miles of my crib in the last 2 years...

Why don't you 'nader chasers just sit out back on my deck?

Strongest storms now south of Memphis near Byhalia. Tornado watch until 3:00am for most of north MS. Now that the storms have formed a line the tornado threat is not as pronounced but there is still ample shear for spun up tornadoes with these storms.

And how many dogs live under the deck? And how many of them have the mange? We ARE talking about Lamar County right?

Main wind energy starting to move off to the north. Hopefully that'll mean the severe weather will follow. Front is already into MS. Once you get north winds the severe threat over with.

Wind was blowing over 80 mph out in west TX where I had lived a couple years ago. Buddies told me temp was in the 70s and in the morning expect wind chills of just over 0. Hahaha. That's a drop!
