If I were the NCAA king for a day, here's the rule I'd institute:

- Would create a rule that was modeled off of the MLB 40 man roster rule where after each season, and before the Spring semester, every NCAA football program could only protect 60 players and all others left off the list were free to transfer where they wanted without penalty. Could be 60 guys, 70 guys, it doesn't matter. Would keep Bama and LSU from ending the careers of players they can't use.

I would give him a half scholarship based on his name alone

"ending" careers? elaborate, please...

additionally, I LOVE this idea... it'd be like getting 5-10 additional skollies each year...

I think he means so much talent at Bama and LSU that many guys never see the field where they would see the field if they went to State, ole miss or Arkansas.

He left out the best part of that new rule. They can transfer anywhere they want with the exception of teams that have made the CF Playoff in the last three years (5 years if the team is Bama) ******

Mane ... I LIKE THIS NEW RULE! ************

And teams in conference and on the previous team's schedule for the next few years. Got to do that or you would have espionage.

The other issue would be having recruiters showing up at Mississippi State from a bunch of small school

Really? For every Kevin Norwood there are a couple like Malcolm Faciane, Malcolm, 6'-5", 250, TE, Dandy Dozen from Picayune, MS. Won't look it up, but caught like 2 passes over 4 years at Bama before transferring out.

He watched Bama sign the #1 or 2 TE in the country every year.
