Eh don't worry about it the kid is a player. He is the same guy he was in the past with 4* by his name. Kid is going to help us out immediately next year and is a very good talent.

It does stink that he dropped. That wouldn't have happened had he signed with Alabama or LSU. I'm still super excited about this kid.

It wasn't 247. It was composite. Rivals would be the culprit if I had to guess.

My guess as well.

It's why composite rankings are dumb.

They are fine for large market schools that get even coverage across all sites, but, with schools like MSU that maybe favor 247 or Scout, the other sites that receive less traffic simply don't evaluate the players.

Rivals & others didn't even have a grade on Abram till after we signed him & just threw a 3 star on him for the hell of it, which of course brought down the composite

They always are. They are the most biased recruiting website out there. They change rankings on kids based on behavior or actions, like they did to Nick James. They used to be looked at pretty highly. I would say they are probably at the bottom of the 4 man totem pole of 24/7, Scout, ESPN, and Rivals.

This.

He only had rankings from 2 sites. A 3rd just ranked him and it dropped his composite score.

On 24/7 he's still a 4* and the #1 JC safety

They can't stand it. MSU getting all those guys. I'm sure other State commits will have stars inexplicably dissappear before February.

Still the same kids they were before they were ranked. Bottom line is we got some players coming in that will immediately help us out at some positions of need.
