He actually propped Mullen up as a guy who tried to help him. I had no problem with the tweets. Besides, Quay stopped being a "State person" the minute he was kicked off the team after getting a million chances.

All I can think of when I see a story like this is how troubled someone has to be to not take advantage of opportunities like the ones presented to Quay. It's sad to see the comments from people that knew him that pretty much knew something like this would happen.
Also, I understand everyone's feelings about what Deuce is doing for Ole Miss but his comment about Mullen was pretty solid. He actually lent some credibility to what kind of a coach/person Mullen is.

Wasn't grades I don't think. If memory serves me, Quay made excellent grades. Just loafed on the field.

Quay was actually a good class room student. Grades never the issue. According to people in Morton he had all the God Given talent needed to play at any level in football. Just no drive. Damn shame.

I remember seeing him riding around in a golf cart at a camp the summer before he came to State. Being treated like a king. Come fall he fails 3 drug tests, among other incidents that are so unspeakable Im not even gonna post it. Saban says hell no stops recruiting him and we still took him. You could see it coming he never had a shot
