Dak cements his rookie legacy tonight. Road snow win to clinch the division. He will be big time tonight.

3 and out on the first series. Looks like the Giants will be bringing the pressure tonight.

There's a lot more at stake than Qb versus Qb in the game

ScoobaDawg
12-11-2016, 09:19 PM
Well Dak threw an INT when Dez fell down but looks like might get off the field with no damage.

GreenheadDawg

Dak needs to get it together.

Dak does not look good tonight. He'll probably pick it up in the second half.

He's certainly not looking good, but man he's had some drops. He looks better than Eli and we're talking about how bad he looks. Haha

Either play calling has changed or Dak isn't dumping the ball off to Beasley and Whitten. Looks just like last week. Looking for the big play too much.

Yep, second week in a row Dak and the offense have looked off. Hope this isn't a trend where maybe defenses are figuring out something on him.

I think Cooter makes a good point; seems like he's trying to make the spectacular play

Looks to me like they're trying to force the ball to Dez.

RocketDawg
12-11-2016, 10:18 PM
Dak doesn't look his best, but Eli looks worse. Might be the cold, hard, slick ball. Eli's gotten lucky ... at least two passes that should have been interceptions, and a couple of other actual turnovers.

maroonmania
12-11-2016, 10:22 PM
Yea, Eli should have just had a ball picked off that would have had Dallas set up at the Giants 20 yard line.

GreenheadDawg
12-11-2016, 10:22 PM
Man Dak is having a rough game. Maybe it's the cold

Cooterpoot
12-11-2016, 10:25 PM
Teams have figured out Free sucks in pass protection. They're bringing pressure off that end. Dak isn't doing a very good job of checking down.

maroonmania
12-11-2016, 10:38 PM
Dallas has to lead the league in holding calls. Kill drives that way all the time.

Yep and that's why he was just intercepted again. Finally looking like a rookie

Dez is lazy as hell. Quits on half his routes.

maroonmania

Yep, but it was the holding call that put them in the 3rd and very long situation.

Dak is sucking it up tonight. Of course he's getting no help.

Dallas needs to lose, but not this game. Maybe falling behind gets their attention.

bluelightstar
12-11-2016, 10:47 PM
Dak has to settle down or he won't be the starter. Hell, that thought in the back of his mind might be part of the problem.

Joe Schmedlap
12-11-2016, 10:52 PM
He's pressing and maybe he's met his match in Mother Nature. Crucial penalties and butterfinger Cowboy defensive backs haven't helped either. Eli served up two easy interceptions that Dallas refused to catch. So it's been a complete team fail through 3 quarters.

Play calling is horrendous

The announcers will never say it, but it's time for a TE that can run. I bet Whitten couldn't break a 5.0 at this point.

Watching the same thing every drive.

1st down: run
2nd: wild card
3rd: pass 5 yards short of the 1st down
Punt

Dez gave up on the two plays that were both intercepted where if he runs through the routes he makes those catches. This loss isn't on Dak.

Bryant isnt nearly the receiver he (and others) think he is. Dallas should have traded him years ago.

Dallas could sign Bear Wilson and have the same receiver.

Dak's receivers aren't helping him out at all. He has made several throws the receivers dropped or gave up on the play.

Dez hasn't adapted to an offense with a legit RB. He's used to being the one moving the sticks. Interesting predicament for sure.

They've got trade Romo. I can't say it's unfair, due to how Dak got the job, but you can't pull a rookie that's your future and that has played this well.

What about Eli? He's been as bad as Dak tonight. Why is Dak the only NFL QB that can't play bad every once in a while.

Extremely unfair to him. The Cowboys have to trade Romo in the offseason.

Yeah, but you can't expect to win a road divisional game 7-3. Have to go back and evaluate some things on offense -- the Dallas O has looked pedestrian. Doesn't call for wholesale changes (obviously) but probably should've lost to the Vikings.

Dez is a big body playing receiver. Nothing more. He has average speed and quickness.

What I don't get tonight is why the cowboys didn't go jumbo in the second half and try to get Ezekiel going? The passing game was going nowhere

That holding call before the INT was a killer. It's First down inside the 30....
Dez sucks ass. Dallas has overachieved this year. They're thin at DB, receivers are average at best and looks like Dak has hit the roookie wall a bit.

Bottom line. This game was a nice wake up call for them. Better to lose now instead of in playoffs.

We'll see. I won't be surprised if Romo plays the Tampa Bay game next week. Russell Wilson, Eli, Aaron Rodgers, etc. have all had 2+ terrible games this year, but Dak's probably one-and-done. Agree with what was said earlier -- it's not fair, but I think fear of getting pulled was part of the problem. Especially after Jerry came out this week talking about how great it would be if Romo came back to lead them to the Super Bowl this week.

The giants flat out whipped Dallas. I don't understand why they gave p on the run. A guy like Zeke, you keep feeding him and he'll get you yardage. NY brought so much pressure I was surprised Dallas didn't shorten their routes. They were all over Dak tonight, plus he had some balls dropped early that put them in a bind. A bad night for Dallas for sure.

There are positives and negatives to playing for Dallas. This week Dak will experience the negatives. #fishbowl

Bdawg

Giants DBs > cowboy receivers. Nobody open except the td pass. Dez cant stand up and Dez quits on a route = 2 INTs. Twice now the Boys OL has struggled with the Giants DL. Plus Dak didn't play his best either.

Yeah just an all around bad night for dak. Both losses on the season to the giants of all teams. I'm sure the romo talk will be heated up by a good many in the sports world. Not saying dak will be removed but it wouldn't come as a shock with the way romo is viewed as in the organization

The game plan was terrible. Super conservative like garret was playing not to lose.Dallas ran the ball on first down all but once that I remember. Giants knew it and stuffed the run putting Dallas in second and long and third and long. Play action on first down would've busted wide open. Just awful job by coaching staff Dak didn't play his best, and Dez acted like he didn't wanna be there.

Well the one major glare about the boys offense showed up tonite. A Sunbelt receiver corps playing bigboy FB. You have DB who is greatly overrated, yes he didn't want to be there tonite. Beasley who is a dam good possession receiver but isn't going to break many long ones, Witten is is getting up there in age and Terrance Williams who is hot and cold. Now the NFL has their book on them and they are going to have to adapt. I would run the shi% out of Elliott and when his legs fall off go with Morris. They have to take the pressure off Dak.

Dez was awful. Fell down on his route to cause the first INT then quit on his route to aid the second INT. THEN, on the final drive gets the first down only to fumble away any chance to win the game. He definitely gets my least valuable player award from last night. Dak and Eli were both pretty bad but Beckham made one big play and Dez made none.
