I actually see that as a step down.

Wonder if O will go after Helfrich

Or, he could try to under cut Saban and get Sark

There's no way on earth Sarkisian would do that. They may be buds, but he's not that dumb. OC for Bama >>>>>>>>> OC for Orgeron.

True. At AL he has a 90+% chance of being successful. At LSU.....who knows.

Not with a show cause. Also if I remember correctly, O isn't too fond of Freeze.

If I was O- I would go after Auburn's OC. He's probably tired of Gus over his shoulder constantly. He did a good job for them this year when Malzahn turned over play calling duties to him

O wants a Spread guy- Sark is West Coast

That would potentially be a great hire. He lives in Malzahn's shadow despite calling the offense.

I'm not that familiar with Sark. I'm pretty sure Tusk and Token have been saying Saban will get Sark to replace Kiffin, so I assumed they had similar philosophies. If that's not the case then I'm not sure why Saban would do that with Hurts now the QB. Saban making the switch and now switching back doesn't line up to me very well with the success they've had the last 3 or so years.

That gimmicky offense has seen it's best days. Too many defenses have figured it out. O would be fired in two years.

I have a feeling that Orgeron is interim, and if he fails to get a top notch OC, his leash will be even shorter.

Hurts will be the guy.... at least until Tua enrolls in 3-4 weeks.

Is Saban picking up Sark and switching back to West Coast/Pro Style offense (as I understood him to be from Random's post)?

They finished 5th in scoring and 5th in Total offense playing their 3rd and 4th string RB's as well as having a hurt QB the 2nd half of the season. Malzahn's offense is just fine.

Short answer- I don't know.

I tend to believe saban wants more a pro style approach indstead of this Mickey Mouse offense. Tua is more a pro style guy than is jalen.

Regardless, offensive scheme isn't gonna make too much a difference going forward.

When the defense is as good as what Bama has, you can run the double wing formation and still go undefeated....

I agree. You will now beat TSUN next year by 50 or more points. Because you may not throw a single pass. A decent OC would have known that the past three years.

I'm with you... with the upgrade at OC, we should be a lot better next year.

Thanks man. I was kinda hoping Bama would fall back to the traditional Saban offense. While that's hard to stop, I think it's more difficult to stop the spread when there's a good run/pass mix. The problem with y'all's spread tho is Kiffin doesn't like to run the ball enough.

Still ain't buying that Tua will come in and take over for Hurts. And what's with the pro style white dude y'all have committed? If he's watching all your pro style QBs exiting I can't imagine that he'd want to stay committed.
