I hate recruiting, but you can't help but see the importance of this recruiting class in terms of momentum. If we can close strong on the heels of a good finish to the season and the in-state beat down, it could really help keep the buzz going during the offseason imo.

That being said, it sets up perfectly for another head scratcher bc we have momentum & OM is spiraling...which means they are desperate for a "win" over us, and they love a recruiting win more than a win on the field, so keep that in mind and don't panic if suddenly one or two in state guys start wavering. Just remember that anybody choosing OM will probably lose a ton and will miss bowls, etc (right AJ?).

And this might fall on deaf ears, but everybody needs to remember that OM has NOTHING positive right now...nothing. Don't be the idiot on twitter that bites on their troll job and gives them a small win by letting them sucker you in to a debate or pissing match. They are dying for attention and wins, and they'll prey on our insecure fan base if you let them. Instead, call them out on it...tell em it's clear they're just trying to manufacture a win...and just say scoreboard, say NCAA probation coming, say no recruit you land or flip polishes the turd that is Ole Miss football. And then stop talking to them...don't debate them bc there is no debate. We are the better program and debating them at all gives them relevance and makes you seem insecure. They're reeling guys, and any players that go there will be ruining their college experience so who cares? Worry about us, point to the scoreboard, point to the bowl streak, and promote the hell out of OUR State and how we are on the rise and stable with a great talent base and one of the best coaches in the country. Don't question positivity about MSU, embrace it. Pull the rope....if not forever, at least through February.

+1

By the way, Scooba...what you think about some Bowl Game odds on Bet Your Ass? I also find those games interesting bc you never truly know how good a conference is until they play teams outside of their own. Hard to predict.

Def one of the better posts over the last few days I applaud you. Things always get interesting this time of year. I actually think we close out strong in recruiting at least for us. There is some talent in this class if we can keep what we have together and add a couple more pieces. It has been a long road and the season should not have been as rough as it was. A play here and there and we are looking at a different outcome. But, Mullen has built a good foundation and the talent we have now is light years ahead of where it was when he first got here. Keep that in mind when you think about recruiting and where we were at. I am excited about all of our programs. They all seem to be trending in the right direction.
