He's basically making himself a GM type coach that gets the players motivated and oversees the big stuff. Let the coordinators coach the O, D, and ST.

I think it's genius. Let Orgeron be your figure head and main recruiter still. Then have the best coordinators money can buy.

You forgot Freeze and Bielema is getting a bump as well. I think him and Mullen are very very close next year

That's crazy but they had to keep Aranda for this to work and O is making less than Mullen. They are going to have to play an OC about the same. O will do very little actual coaching.

I think you're right. With O being a defensive coach, it should be flipped. They should have paid an off. coordinator the $2 mill. and go for a lesser def. coordinator.
