Per louginbil on Finebaum. He basically said that Frezzus and da cruits gonna be to much for us to overcome. WOW. Beat a second rate SEC team on the road and now they are the new Oregon. Granted we have issues but I saw some pretty significant issues for the bears as well. I can't wait till the bears are 2-5 and ESPN can stop blowing those damn MFers

Everybody was so impressed with their win at Vandy- they didnt get into the Top 25

Thats what happens when you give up 35....to Vandy

As bad as we looked on O they looked equally bad on D. 35 to a vandy team replacing there RB QB and was without there second best WR.

If I was an OM fan I'd be concerned that when these upcoming losses start coming if the freshmen can recover.

They may be a "second rate" SEC team, but you can't sit there and tell me that it was not a big win for us. Yeah, we have some work to do, but it was the first game. They would have destroyed yall's defense. That receiver is a freak. Also, I don't think anybody said we are going to be the new Oregon. We don't have to the new Oregon to beat a state team that is horribly coached with little talent.

Let's not jump any guns declaring one team so superior or the other team inferior. We have a long season ahead of us. We can solve our Offensive woes from the game and y'all may solve your defensive issues. Plus the injury bug bit both of us pretty good.

Enjoy the love now, even Neal McCready said it "The best Freeze can do is get Ole Miss to a 8 win team year in and year out". Which is exactly what Mullen has achieved at State. Trust us the new will wear off.

I realize that we will probably lose to Texas. I think we have a good chance, but it's a tough game to win. That being said, OM is more talented than state and definitely better coached. So, how is the guy wrong by saying that we are too much for yall to overcome?

This day and age you have to make dramatic and largely idiotic statements to get anyones attention. If you guys kick our ass in Nov, then fair statement but that's a long way off.

Really? Do you think yall would beat them? It's a big win for us because we have had a rough couple of years. It was on national television and it was the season opener against a 9-win team last year. Didn't state consider us a "big win" in our 4-8 and 2-10 season? All i'm saying is, yall can't down play our win because you're jealous.

I also thinks its hilarious that when we lost Hughes we all admitted its a big loss for us. I had 3 Om fans tell me it wasn't a big deal to lose D Nkemdashian bc that was one position you guys have a bunch of depth in....dumbest thing I've heard in a long time but that is exactly what I expected to hear. You guys are as predictable as our offense was sat

Yes, I do think we would beat Vanderbilt. Especially if their WR was out for almost the entire second half as was the case in your game. Vanderbilt will not win nine games this year and they will be very fortunate to go bowling.

You are a rivalry game for us. Do you consider Vanderbilt a rival? Even when we beat you, it's not like we stormed the field or anything. But please keep going- I find it funny that you are comparing your program to mighty Vanderbilt. Every game is on national television- that was a big deal in 1989. I can't believe you even played that card in 2013.

Formation is easy to stop if you just don't let the QB run wild on the edge. Force them to run up the middle or pass to the WR and that formation becomes nothing special.

You do know we are one play away from ushering the Damian Williams era in at Mississippi State? A guy we beat out an 0-12 team for his services just a few months ago. I'm not saying I'm not glad to have him, but I'm sure he is not ready to run the SEC gauntlet we have this year. Factor in the other injuries we sustained Saturday and we're not looking too good ourselves.

The only thing special about that diamond offense was that we didn't prepare for it. They caught us off guard.

We should have adjusted more quickly, but I give Collins a pass on that considering the overall defensive results against the cowboys of Oklahoma State.

Which of course means that he is going to be the guy that ends up being the best QB in school history. Or that's how it seems to work out a lot of times.

Do you really think Vandy is even close to being on par offensively with OSU? Honestly?

OSU has had one of the two or three best offenses in the country over the last few years. I'm not saying we would have won in Nashville, but to say Vandy's offense would have "destroyed" our defense makes you look totally uninformed.

We were outnumbered to that side- had Autry stayed outside and taken QB- the lead back blocks the LB and the TB is off to the races in the Secondary

1. Finbaum is a sidewalk bamer, vol grad. Still a prick.
2. Treadwell is a beast. Girls basketball high school game film was the recruitment hook.
3. With one Kmdisssheeeee out, does dad work one shift as a doctor and second as a janitor at UMC? Poe

4. Per my wife, Bo Wallace looks like a gay porno film stunt double. The limp wrested hair thing on the

We would roll Vandy. Their offense is JR high compared to OK State. Did you actually watch both games, or just look at the final score? I'm thinking the latter based on your statements. Vandy and OM defenses looked like shit. That little short pass to Paidwell will only work so long, and it's obvious your QB is struggling to throw it past 20 yards. All of his deep balls didn't have much steam behind them. That was obvious. Good defenses will eat OM's lunch.

I think we beat Vandy, but it doesn't make me feel any better knowing that they lined up in that diamond formation when they played OM

If Vandy had tried to pass on us, then they would not have gotten anywhere. It seemed to me that Franklin, like Gundy, had a few new offensive formation wrinkles, the diamond formation and the entire offensive line shifting, that he never really had to use because OM's pass D was so bad. OM was never able to stop the pass, but Franklin turned to the wrinkles to try and get a big gain. If we had to play Vandy next week, I would assume that we would shut down their passing game, then see that Diamond formation again. I hope we've got something to stop it now.

Your right when you finally beat a team that has dominated you the past seven years it is a good win. Sad part about that team is it's Vandy and Ole Miss is the only SEC team they have dominated.

Ole Miss is average team that beat a average team and if Ole Miss has any more injuries they will go from average to crap real fast.

Help me out. You have "Ole Miss is the new cool" as your post header. Did he say Ole Miss is Oregon or much better than we are?...or was he talking about the Ole Miss hype and them becoming fashionable to recruits? That post header is dramatically different than the whole rest of this thread and your summarization of Luginbill's comments are....not real detailed. Sounds like he was saying Ole Miss is cool and will pass us?...and you translated that to say he thinks they're world beaters right now?

Is there a clip of this that can be heard? I refuse to believe that Luginbill thinks Ole Miss is that good right now. Dude's just not that dumb. If so, he missed the many issues all of us saw...outright holes on that team getting worse by injury.
