I amazes me how little patience some posters have when a new coach shows up at a school, yet have infinite patience with Dan about, well everything. Dan's done a couple of good things here and there and now they are in his corner for life. We could have this season's record or barely better for the next 10 years and they'll stick with him.

Some are saying McE won't do anything at FL. This is his 2nd season. And in both of his first 2 seasons he won the East. Sure he's gotten pounded by Bama, but everybody does. He's consistently lost all his QBs for one reason or another, and has had a ton of injuries too. A coach needs 3 at a minimum and probably more like 4 years to get his program established usually.

Some of the same ones were saying Fitz wasn't the answer at QB.

I guess some folks either love someone or hate them and therefore most (if not all) objectivity goes out the window.

I'm still trumpeting McE's demise. I just don't think he's that good. McE is an offensive coach that has been abysmal offensively. Boom won Florida those sec east championships from leaving elite defensive talent. No excuse for Florida to have appleby and del rio as qb's. And sec east titles aren't anything to brag about... how many did Missouri win?
