I normally don't mind Verne, but it's definitely time for him to hang it up. I like that Nessler is going to be the new guy

I have said this before. I love Jim and he is a great baseball guy, but football and basketball are too fast for him. He's a better color analyst for those two if anything.

Vern 30-40 years ago was a good announcer. How OLD is that guy? I'm 53 and I remember him from when I was a kid.

In his 80s I think.

Correction: looked him up and he was born in 1940. So he's 76.

Verne is a lot better than Jim Ellis.

On the way home from the Arky game I'm listening to postgame and he says something about the defense playing much better in the 2nd half and I started yelling in the car, "WTF did that moron watch!"

It would be great if when the DOGS scored he yelled something like Bama’s guy or even the TCUN does.....sometimes you have to wait to see if someone actually scores........

Well I do think there were more 3rd and short's instead only 2nd and short's in the first half****. (If there were any 2nd and short in the first half)

Verne was ok in my book. He messed up constantly on the mic in recent yrs but the guy is 76. He called some really cool stuff over the many years. The 86 masters when the Golden bear sank the putt was a classic. Gary Danielson is a complete tool however and just made that duo not well liked.
