So last night Key led his team on the road at #1 ranked Destrehan in the state semi-finals & promptly went 15-21 for 270 with 12 rushes for 98 yards. He will play for the state title next week in the Superdome.

In the playoffs, Key is 62-92 for 1182 yards & 12 TDs. His team is on a 12 game winning streak.

This was Mullen's first choice at QB & he is 6'4"225 & runs with power like Fitz

Looks like we have a winner & leader joining the program. I also love how this guy has handled his recruitment. No drama

Really hope Mullen sees that he can get QBs, RBs, and WR here. If he focused some energy and effort on great OL, he could really do something special.

They said he stepped out of bounds and whistled and he was no nearer than a yard to the sideline stripe. He has a very fluid, effortless motion.

What kinda bullshit call was that?

They are preparing him for the MSU vs Alabama game. ****

When watching Key's film, along with his athleticism & size, I love his touch & how there seems to be no panic in his game. He looks comfortable on the field & always under control Kind of like a former QB we had

I agree. He has a chance to be special. Especially with Hill, Malik Heath, Monterio Hunt, Marcus Murphy, and Austin Williams in the fold with him. Hopefully we get Jerrion Ealy from Prep in a couple of years which would offset not getting Akers IMO.

Any chance of a fifth star for him? I'm assuming since he is coming to MSU, not likely. But if he was headed to LSU, then most assuredly!!

I wouldn't trade him for any QB in the class. And I agree with Previous poster, no drama. Fully committed to Mullen

He's only a 90 on 247, so he isn't anywhere near a 5th star.

Here's the deal with Key: On film he's entirely to raw to rate a 5 star, but we know that, due to the play development he'll get, he'll develop into a high 4 or 5 star caliber player.

People hate to do it, but sometimes part of the projection of a kid is where he'll be going & what type of development he'll get.

Agree. He reminds me a lot of Dak with the way he doesn't get distracted by the bright lights and knows what he wants. You have to think he's got his mind set on becoming an NFL QB and knows who can get him there.

He should be a high 4 star. His production this year has been insane!

High school stats don't & shouldn't have anything to do with what a guy is ranked.

Key is a 90-93 type recruit. He's extremely raw with questionable footwork & throwing motion. However, he's got everything else & we know Mullen can develop him.

Key is the type of recruit that, if he was committed to LSU, Ole Miss, or Georgia, he'd likely never amount to anything. He's perfect for us though.

Keytaon should be a 93-95 based on his HS production & his long term potential in college. He checks all the boxes. Yea he needs to improve mechanics & foot work but so do 80-90% of HS qb's. We've got a special 1 who has that IT factor with leadership & also a 4.0gpa student.

According to Mike Detillier out of NOLA, KT has a much stronger arm and is a better passer then Dak was at this age as well. Just let Dan work on his footwork and mechanics for a year or 2, and then another potential great could be replacing what is hopefully Dan's second great QB at State.

Lots of good videos from last night. Key is so smooth. Reminds of Vince Young running the ball. Has a better arm slot though
