Why does our center move his hand and head Everytime about .5 of a second prior to the snap Everytime?

Yep. He's been called for a false start at least a couple of times this year for it, including once in the EB. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Is there some rule that allows for him to have some pre-snap movement, so long as he gets set prior to actually snapping? If not, one would think our coaches would be all over this.

Seems like that would be a big tipoff to the defense to anticipate the snap. He definitely needs to break the habit.

I've wondered the same thing. I guess offenses aren't as worried about snap count or getting a jump on the d-line anymore.

It's a timing, signal thing.
