Isn't the coach at MTSU a former State player or coach?

Kermit owns Randy Kennedy. I think MTSU has won several agianst them over Randy's tenure.

We would be foolish not to look at Kermit Davis when our next opening occurs

I really thought we would go after him hard after Stans. But we got Ricky Ray instead

The beauty of clean basketball. Ole miss lead that game in many statistical categories but turned it over significantly more and MTSU with 22 assists on 29 made shots. That's a well coached team.

Kermit's teams are always fundamentally sound. They have great ball movement and floor spacing. He's a really good coach

I dated a girl for awhile at State from Starkville. She grew up beside the Davis's. Nice folks.

He applied for the job but was given a token interview. He knew when he left that he had no chance.
I am very glad Strickland is gone due to that and several other reasons.
I think he is very satisfied with MTSU and it would be hard to get him to leave. (When Howland leaves in ten years**)
