OT: Gatlinburg Wildfire

I know this board doesn't like OT's but it looks like a pretty bad situation in Gatlinburg. Supposedly a wildfire is out of control and bearing down on downtown. Per twitter (yes I know) some people are trapped and unable to evacuate. If anybody knows more feel free to correct me.

Wife and I had our honeymoon up there and my aunt and uncle saw the beginning of the wildfire when they left last week. It's gotten bad from what I've read on the news.

Sad stuff. Gatlinburg and that entire area is beautiful....this is terrible. As a lover of wildlife and nature, it really kills me to think about all the animals and forest that we'll lose in that area. I hope everyone is able to make it out of there.

Me too. Was booked at blue green mountain loft resort 15th-19th. Was just there 3 weeks ago. Just tragic for those folks! Praying that no lives were lost and this ends soon!
