Alright, looks like we got a commitment from Mark Reynolds 2.0

Serious bat speed & leverage. Approach & lower half will need some work

I laughed when I saw we signed a 2021 commit. Then I saw him hit a ball over the grassy batters eye at The Ball
Ark in Arlington as a 13 year old and shut up.

I remember when I was 13 and couldn't make the throw from third to first without some serious arc. Fun times.

Guys, I don't think we even can fathom how great this kid can be. He's not even 14 years old and he puts on a show. He can hit a baseball as far as most anyone on our team right now. And oh yea, did I mention he's 13! Not only that he hits mid 80s on the mound! Oh yea, and he's 13!! Unreal. And from what I have heard he will go to college no matter if he's 1st round talent. Supposedly his family is L O A D E D. Like REALLYYYYY loaded so the draft money won't be that big of a pull.

I mean, he's still probably going pro if he's that good.

Never know with someone this young but if you can go ahead and get him in the boat then you got to.

He's peaking too early.

Huge state fan. Dreamed of going to State his whole life. There is more to it than money to some.

World Record 505 foot homer 13 years old. That is so ridiculous.

This is awesome! Jordan is a youtube sensation and I believe he plays for Desoto Central and was on their varsity despite being an 8th grader. We'll see if we can get him past the draft in five years but I expect him to grow some and be a first baseman depending on how he develops of course. That is the same tournament/home run derby where Bryce Harper made his name except that Harper was older than Jordan.

That’s how baseball recruiting has been trending for the past 5-10 years at least. One thing to think about is the fact that MLB has been recruiting Latino players for years and signing them when they were 16 (or sometimes earlier depending on how much the player lied in certain instances) and those players were and are a lot more raw than American players in a lot of cases so there is some precedent as far as evaluating players at this stage in their life. And of course as the players in the 2021 class develop and mature others will emerge. It just so happens that Jordan is more mature than a lot of the kids his age, but that said if he is hitting with that kind of power at this age, that’s pretty rare.

One of his highlights they showed him running a 8.2 60 yard dash.

Hope that power continues haha.

I'm pumped as hell to get him. I'd have to hit the ball two or three times to get it 505 feet.

You know what they say- if you hit the ball far enough you don't have to run fast.

Very Young! I think this is the exception rather than the rule. No harm in taking his commit right now.
