I hate our offense!!! No penetration, no pressure on the opponent to play defense or to rebound! If Q was playing, we might be winning, but we would still be doing the same crap offensively.

I am constantly amazed at the lack of basketball knowledge in kids coming out of high school. You should know how to attack a zone without your college coach having to tell you and it seems that every player doesn't start learning how to play defense until they get to college.

Or we throw a shit pass and turn it over. We have done that 3-4 times out of that zone. Kegler isn't even trying to drive his man to the basket to get fouls. He isn't even trying a 10-12 foot shot which he probably hits about 80% of the time. It's almost like we regressed since we lost Q.

Why the hell we let them build out a 9 point lead at the half is beyond me and it was because our players had no idea how to beat a zone without chunking up threes that had no shot with 3-4 trips of turning it over. This half is the worst we have played all year. Our defense isn't that bad but our offense is attrocious. He needs to jump all over Kegler because he is a guy who could be a zone buster with his size in the paint at the free throw line. He is 10x the player who is guarding him but he just loafs on the perimeter.

We have essentially one healthy non-freshman player on this team that's wroth a darn. We are really really young and don't have really have any depth to speak of. I thought there was a chance that we might make postseason, but I'm not suprised in the least that were struggling like we are. We have tremendous potential over the next few years with this bunch, just be patient with them.

Herard is a disappointment. I thought he had at least a semblance of an offensive game but he is much more raw then I have seen any four star player ever be. Kegler has no idea how to utilize his body and thinks he is a SG. I thought Wright was a slasher and he has yet to even drive the ball to the basket (which I find very odd). Holman is having to play out of position in the post because Herard isn't ready whatsoever to start. On top of that, I don't think Howland is coaching at the top of his game. Of course, some of that class might be overrated and that could be why we are where we are.

Another shitty season. Today's seniors were blessed to see some really great football games but may never get to see a decent basketball team in their 4 years on campus.

And the officiating was actually good in this game. No complaints from me on this. Lehigh flat out shut us down on the offensive side of the ball just going zone and killed us defensively by their guards blowing by ours. We definitely took a step back from even the UTEP game. Worst game we have played this year including the UCF game.

I think a lot of it is coaching. We play horrible defense and take shit shots with no direction in offense. Kentucky always has freshmen starting, and yeah they are all 5 stars, but our guys aren't showing out at all. We have to coach them and give them direction and confidence.

Calipari gets in his guys ass. He coaches his guys to run the plays, but to also be aggressive when you don't have the ball too. Right now there's just too much standing around, and absolutely no attempt at rebounding on the offensive end. I also watched Datcher tonight. Played competitive basketball from age 6 to 21. I know a thing or 2. We know Howland is a great coach and that these players have potential. What we saw tonight was very bad basketball.
Nobody is calling for Howland's head. It's ok to call a spade a spade, you don't have to get your feelings hurt because some people don't enjoy watching bad basketball.
When you have horrible floor spacing on offense and no ball movement the coaches have to take some blame. I don't care if it's Coch K or Jackie Moon, it's not acceptable and needs to be fixed. When you can't stop Steven ****ing hawking on a dribble drive, coaches have to take some blame and figure out how to fix it. We have enough athletes to do this.
I thought we made great improvements against UTEP in all facets of the game, but tonight we regressed in a major way.
