View Full Version : Are We Going to Compete Both Emotionally & Physically Tomorrow?

For goodness sakes, I can't get the lackluster attitude we've brought into this game the last two years out of my head.

I think we have a chance to win tomorrow if we play well, but, for whatever reason, we've been flat for this game for two straight years.

If this team gives the fans one thing this year, please let it be an all out, balls to the wall effort tomorrow. That's my biggest question going into tomorrow.

Are we scared or are we going for a fight?

We dang well better come out fired up. If we come out flat 3 years in a row for this game I'm gonna be ready to give up completely on Dan. Having said that I do think that we will come out fired up ready to play but I just don't think we can match them score for score like we are gonna have to

I don't think we will, but I'm hoping for a surprise.

Honestly, this is my biggest problem with Dan. If we lose, let’s lose going 110 MPH.

I agree. The two things that infuriate me about Mullen is his shopping for jobs and lack of fire I big games.

We will know after our first two defensive possessions. Fly to the ball and play with emotion in every play! I'm not worried about our offense at all!!

Insanity is the diagnosis. What will be different for this big game when nothing has changed?

Depends whether he was on the phone all day with Texas, A&M, LSU, FSU, etc.....etc....
Is he fully invested or not.....He hasn't been for about 2 years.

If the football gods are real then this should happen.

Some where over the Rainbow skies are blue......

You know the great irony of 2016....it might happen.

It upsets me because that is THE ONE thing that we can control. We can't control our talent, other teams talent, the officials, the weather, etc. But we can control how much effort we give. And especially if I'm paying to watch it.

Depends if the Defense plays 'OLE tomorrow.

Agreed. And if we beat those cheaters on the cusp of major probation, it would be justice! Dream season crushed, Hugh's last hurrah crushed, bowl eligibility crushed, cheaters winning at all cost... Crushed!

And this folks is the number one issue....we never know if a Mullen led team is going to come out with fire. That's the one thing that should happen every single week. It's controllable. He doesn't make it happen.

ShotgunDawg made a damn good post a while back on the differences between college and NFL coaching. It appears from the vandy game, the coaches and players know about the forthcoming hammer. It has drained their positive vibes. This game will come down to preparation, emotion and desire.

I want to see something I haven't seen from our team in a while. Call it an attitude, some non-prepared emotion, a display of anger, good old fashioned "hate" for the other team, or whatever, without a coach manipulating emotions. This is something that should come from the players themselves, show me you give a care.

I just DON'T won't to see one of our DB's juke a RB like I saw against Ark. Damn, when I saw that I changed the channel!

I wish I could channel my emotions to the team, I have enough of that good old fashioned "hate" to go around!

It doesn't matter how "fired up" we are. We just aren't a very good football team.

This is probably true, but for the last two years, we've showed up flat.

If we are going to be a bad football team, let's be bad playing physical & 100 mph today. That's all I ask

No, but they are better than us.

We were better than USA, Kentucky, and byu IMO. I think aTm was better than us. Om's better than vandy. Stuff happens... coming out with emotion is a good thing
