View Full Version : Q's MRI?

When should we hear something? We really need a good report. If it is a minor injury, any chance we try and rest him vs Lehigh Friday night to let em heal up?

He's having it at 2:30

IYOK, some poster on 247 is saying he has torn ligaments and is out for the year and Q is seeking a second opinion. Not sure how much stock I am putting into that because he came up with that post before Q's scheduled MRI (which could be a HIPAA violation if it has legs). What are you hearing? Is this true or is the poster full of shit?

Ifyouonlyknew

I know they're worried but I haven't heard anything definite like he's out for the year.

So, if Q is out, what does out starting 5 look like now? When is Stapleton expected back?

If it's that bad and they're that worried about it, why did they let him play 36 minutes yesterday?

Wow, that would be devastating for this year. If there's any positive to it, it would allow Carter and Peters more playing time and Q could get a medical and play 3 years with his brother instead of 2, but Q probably has his sights set on pro basketball after 2 more years.

This guy is the only one saying it so take it for what it's worth. He spoke doom and gloom before the MRI was supposed to take place. I'm just hoping he has bad information and it can be dispelled as a bad rumor. I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Losing Q would IMO eliminate most any chance for any post-season this year. We could lose him for a short time but if he is out for the whole year then this year turns to a learning year to be really good next year with hopefully a healthy Q back on the team.

Hey msstate7, just an FYI to post where you want to, the MRI at 2:30 was the initial one not a second opinion.

So, did he get hurt yesterday or in a previous game? This sounds odd all the way around..

Previous game. They said they were unsure if he'd play yesterday but he ended up playing 36 minutes. That's 6 minutes more than the next guy on our team in most minutes played.

So... how does one play for 36 minutes with a serious injury? Seems unlikely...

Guess we'll see.

Howland's press conference is tomorrow so they may just be holding it for that. Who knows? All I do know is if it is completely negative or positive you're going to hear it from more then just one source. If he was out for the year like that poster said, we would have more people come out and state it. When it's just one person stating something positive or negative, I tend to be skeptical.

Hope so. Q's the season. The guy just has "it." Would suck hard if a non shooting hand injury shelved him long term. Our growing pains this season would magnify tremendously.

In all honesty, this was out before he took his MRI at 2:30. Why do we need to know before Q has his MRI? Does privacy for the player while he figures out his options matter to people? Whether people want to admit or not, we have a major leak issue in our Athletic Department and it didn't fix itself having Cohen as AD.

Datcher

I'd start this five

PG - Ready
SG - Carter
3G - Wright
PF - Kegler
C - Holman

Off Bench - Peters, Datcher, Herard

Have a more defined eight man rotation until Stapleton gets back then work Stapleton into the system and have Wright come off the bench. We now need for Wright to start getting it at least until Stapleton is back.

Peters is only 6' tall. Wright is 6'4 and about 20lbs heavier so I agree moving wright to the 3 to keep the same lineup without spoon. Although wright better learn fast cause he looks alot more like a freshman right now than the rest.

SG Carter
F Kegler
PF Holman

Run nascar up-tempo, Wright has no business starting right now

Stapleton is the answer so the more minutes for Peters now, the better.

If you look at our schedule, we should still get to 9-3 if everyone can come together and players like Holman and Ready lead us. As many minutes as Q played on Sunday, he didn't make any of the clutch shots to win the game. Holman, Peters, and Carter stepped up to take on that role. I could see us start Peters at the off guard but it makes us a bit small. Kegler really needs to step up in this role. He has a chance to benefit the most over this if he uses his body, posts up, and gets his points in the flow of the game. I'm still hopeful we can have a winning record this year. We will get Abdul Ado back to practice with so that will help Herard and Datcher develop. We still have a lot of talent even with Q out. Our young guys will just need to grow up a little quicker then expected.
