Because I've been out of the loop all weekend, but has anyone discussed how we got 3 top 150 baseball recruits this weekend? With two in top 80? Big time.

Hard to get excited. The MLB scavengers will soon swipe them up.

Got to try if you want that ring. Plus I believe Cannizaro will get more on campus.

I had the opportunity to learn a little more about him in person a week ago.
Based on a few things he described in how he recruits, I think you hit the nail on the head.
We won't get them all.
But I have no doubt out we will sign more highly rated players and get a higher percentage to campus.

And you get one or two top 50 players on campus and you can change your whole program, especially pitchers.

Calin Smith is more of a CF type of guy if I had to guess. He's a LH bat and he can run really well. He's 5'10" now but I could certainly see him being around 6'0" by the time he gets to college.
Mason Land had a LOT of offers from SEC schools. He's from the same school that produced CT Bradford and Addison Russell in Pensacola, Fl. I think he sticks at SS for us.
Lukas Cook is already 6'1" and I could see him growing to about 6'3" or so possibly. My early guess is he will be a corner INF/OF guy and/or possibly pitch for us as well. We'll have to see how he progresses and develops but my guess is a corner spot. I wouldn't completely rule out SS at this point though- again it's just too soon to know.
I do agree that Cannizaro is going to land more highly rated players than any other coach we have had at MSU in terms of percentage. We're always going to lose some- even LSU and Vandy lost a few- but that's what we have to do to win a NC.

Exactly. That's what Vanderbilt has done in the past.
