Here’s another crazy possibility- maybe Freeze announces tomorrow that he is stepping down as the head coach at the end of the year? Would make some sense because everyone except the most delusional Ole Miss fans knows that Freeze is going to fry. It’s much easier to find a coach in January than July- ask Ole Miss circa 1994 when Joe Lee Dunn was their interim head coach for an entire season. It also might appease the NCAA some as well. Much more than a bogus bowl ban after they lose five games. It also might motivate their team to “play for Freeze” the last two games to send him out on top with a bowl bid to Birmingham.
