The staff ERA is 4.78 and the Staff OBA is 0.247

Good News:
(1) Pilk, Cyr, and Self are earning weekend starter roles
(2) Mahoney, Barlow, and Mangum have done well as LH relief, Barlow does have lots of walks
(3) McQuary the Freshman with Jonathan Holder hair is doing well
(4) Windham has been given a lot of innings and has done well, only one bad outing or 0.00 ERA, Henderson must like him
(5) Parker Ford (10-Rated Recruit) looks ok after his TJ-Year

Keegan James's numbers are skewed by the small sample size as well. Four of his 8 runs came off of the bat of Cole Gordon on one swing.

I've heard to expect Denver McQuary to pitch a lot for us in relief this year. Mahoney is also recovering from an arm injury and had to detour through JUCO last year but it looks like he is doing well. Ford might pitch more than I initially expected. We flipped Windham from USM late and he is a walk-on from Ocean Springs. He probably would have eventually been a weekend rotation guy for USM.

It looks like it's going to be Cyr, James, and Self competing for the weekend spots behind Pilkington.

Yes, very disappointing on Breaux. I remember when we signed him that a lot of folks thought he was the most college ready freshman pitcher out of that elite class.

I'm not going to make many judgments on our pitching right now. Some of those guys in the bottom half will make big jumps over the winter after individual work with Henderson. Plus, like was mentioned, we have several guys recovering from arm surgery.

Another thing to consider is that guys are with a new PC, and I would guess the main objective now is to work on pitch selection, location, etc...as opposed to just trying to put up the best numbers in the fall.

He seemed to look really good and then a batter later look awful. If he becomes consistent then he could be great. He has great stuff sometimes.
