Maybe it belongs in Platinum Plus because I talk about the Diamond Girls.

I can't stand O'Sullivan. I'll be glad when they can him after this year.

Sounds like O'Sullivan and Mangina from LSU need to get a room and rub dongs and talk about all the conspiracies against their teams from MSU.

"Pollorena matched up against the Florida ace Jonathan Crawford, who is rated as a top 50 draft pick by MLB.com and basically out pitched him."

This comment confused me. You say that Crawford outpitched Pollorena. I don't agree with that. Did you mean that Pollorena outpitched Crawford? If so, stick a comma after MLB.com. That will change the whole meaning of the sentence. Right now it says that Crawford outpitched Pollorena. I'm not sure which you meant. My personal opinion is that Pollo outpitched Crawford. He competed well for us and gave us what we needed to win.

As always, a great article. I love reading your baseball stuff.

Your reading comprehension must be off. I read it simply as Todd saying Pollorena matched up well AND basically out pitched him... The HIM being POLLO out pitched Crawford.

I assume that is what he meant, even though he said otherwise. It is like the difference in "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse" or "I helped my uncle jack off a horse". Punctuation changes the meaning of the sentence.

Us folks at M&WN are just plain bad at punctuation. And as the editor, I'm just way too lazy to correct stuff half the time. Great article again Todd.

And you never know who is reading these - this one got some love from a couple of Diamond Girls on twitter (who I never envision ever visiting the site).

Try being your own editor w/under a 23 of the English section of the ACT. Another good one by Todd as they all are

Todd always writes great articles on baseball. I didn't mean to start grammar smack, but just wasn't sure which way Todd meant it.

I meant Pollorena out pitched Crawford. Grammer happens.

I'm glad everyone liked it though. Especially the Diamond Girls!

I know the feeling. My 2.4 MSU G.P.A. isn't helping out trying to make my writing look semi-professional.
