Weekend Cooking & Drinking Thread: 11am is OUR TIME Edition

I'm still on the mend from a nasty case of bronchitis. I haven't had anything like this since I smoked in my early 20s. Not sure that I'll do much drinking, maybe some cooking.

Trying to decide on doing a butt this weekend. I had some windows replaced in my sunroom this week and I'll be painting trim and finishing the remodel. A butt on the smoker would make things easy.

Basketball games all day tomorrow and then up to Jackson for state CC meet Monday morning. I won't be doing much of anything other than cheering this weekend

Today is the first home game I've missed in a few years but I have some work stuff that is pressing. I did get some Lazy Magnolia Ale State so I'm going to drink it during our game and see if it brings us any luck.

Pics got away from me, but I whipped up some saut?ed jumbo Gulf shrimp, chicken fried elk steaks and gravy, with hoppin John on the side. Family dessert was some homemade blueberry sherbet. Daddy dessert is gonna be some Old Scout rye out of the bourbon cabinet.

I roasted some lobsters, and made some Thai pok pok. Didn't take pictures, but was delicious...

The wife has been wanting a shrimp and corn bisque so we whipped one up last night, well she did most of it but I ate my fair share.
