In and of themselves, the uniforms are awesome. However, my question always is, "Do we look like Mississippi State?" Not sure in this case as very few specks of maroon included. This also calls to my mind our most embarrassing foray into alternative uniforms, when TAMU kicked the living shit out of us while we were wearing some confusing space suit silver clown suit bullshit. I guess I should be glad that we did not look like Mississippi State on that dismal day.

What does black have to do with us? What special relationship do we have with POWs? If you want to honor them, bring them on the field or something. Noble cause, but these are horrid execution.

I like them. I agree I would rather have the black helmet too. But I like the design and am glad we are going it to honor our veterans and not as a gimmick.
If you can't get behind that, then we will have to disagree. We should Honor our military veterans a lot more than we do in ANY way possible.

We were founded with a military requirement hence the "drill field". We always have a veterans game but these unis just have a different twist.

I like em....like why we're wearing em....like that recruits and players will like them....Why not be different? Every game has a little box in the corner that shows who is playing plus the score, so I think people can figure out it's us.

These are the best looking black jerseys we've had, although I would prefer if the shoulder stripes were maroon with silver trim rather than black with silver trim - just a little something to make it look more like MSU. I like them, at least it is an alternate that has meaning behind it instead of doing just because it's what everyone does now (although I did like the black unis from last year vs. UK). I don't like the M-State on the pants either, Louisville used the mascot on their pants and it looks much better, I think ours would look better with the bulldog head.

Speaking of which, State doesn't use the bulldog mascot on much of anything.

I'm not a fan of Saban and Alabama, but I do admire that he doesn't go in for gimmicks and just whips your butt playing tough football. They wear the same uniforms every game, crimson and white at home, and white on white on the road. Same crimson helmets with the numbers.

Yea and they are like one of only less than ten schools that can get away with never changing their uniforms. We can't. We are not Alabama or Notre Dame. We are trying our best to become elite and the extra money we get from Adidas helps with that way more than us never changing our uniforms and not getting $17 million dollars from Adidas would help.
