Didn't realize that until late yesterday. Saw Hatcher when he was QB for Hal Mumme at Valdosta State. He was good and win the Harlan trophy I believe. Also did some good things at GA Southern as HC. He knows football and knows how to scheme to sling it like Mumme did. Should be an interesting game. We are going to have to run the dang ball and eat clock, and bring pressure on D every down the way our secondary has been playing.

Hatch is a very good coach - and I'm surprised he hasn't moved up to D1. The teams he coached at Valdosta State were fun as hell to watch. He was not a good fit Georgia Southern. Going from the Erk Russell/Paul Johnson wishbone to Air Raid split the fan base from the very start.

If we move on from Dan at some point, he is a coach I would put on my interview list. I might not hire him, but I'd love to know how he would attack the SEC as a coach.

I agree ☝️. He would make an awesome OC if not head coach. I lived in Waycross while he was playing in Valdosta. Saw some high powered O back then. Have always tried to keep up with him since. That's why I was so surprised to learn he was HC for Samford. Now their QBs numbers make more sense.

I seen it dawg

I can understand the losing record at Georgia Southern. Murray State is hard to look past.

Yup
And as much as I like him, I hope he sucks at it.
