Whats up with banks?

Banks may be on his way out of Tampa. I don't see him being there next year.

That sucks with it being a contract year for him

Banks is an undersized Safety at the NFL level. I hope he finds a home where he can play in dime packages and STs. I think that's his best shot.

Wasn't he starting at CB for Tampa his first two years, though? Is playing CB out of the question now?

He can manage the short side of the field at CB, but he doesn't get into and out of his breaks fast enough to cover elite WRs. Especially guys with size and when you're in a division with Mike Evans, the Carolina WR/TEs, and Drew Bree's it spells disaster. His skill set is just more suited for Free Safety, but he's a little undersized for safety. He's good enough to contribute, but he's never going to be a lock down type guy IMO. He's a role player. The sooner he finds that role and solidifies it, the better. He could have a long NFL career as a journeyman at Dine/nickel/STs.
