seems to like the funky colored turf fields a lot.

He didn't mention LSU's most unique feature: the 5-yard increment markings.

Can't say that I agree with his selections or reasoning.

Some of those I like, some I hate. As far as OM's field goes, it doesn't look like that anymore. What the writer liked about it is gone.

This I can agree with. Really odd list

The author argues against his own list. Does not compute.

What is cool about Michigan, Mich State, N Dame, and many others??? The only cool one I saw Central Ark.

I guess the continued Ole Miss love form sports writers is lagging behind the reality of what Ole Miss is really about.

Commonwealth's field bites. Cheap artificial turf looks middle school'ish.

That drives me crazy as does their goal posts with the double posts in the ground. Looks like they're kicking through a capital H. I keep expecting the typewriter from Sesame Street to come out.

There's nothing remotely cool about that list....waste of paper and ink.

This^^^^

And al that colorful crap is garbage and an eyesore. THE NCAA should rule that artificial fields need to reasonably look like a real field.

Isn't strange how Ole Miss always ends up in the top 10 or top 25 in these type of polls..

I said in another thread that it's not above ole miss to pass money under the table to these writers to get Ole Miss into the mix on this kind of stuff. They went all in four years ago.

Yep, when they showed closeups of the plastic grass during our game last weekend, it looked really cheap. Some of it actually looks pretty good, but not that in Lexington.

I like the yardage markers OK, but the goal posts really look dated. All goal posts used to be like that, and they were even on the goal line instead of 10 yards deep. Very dangerous, and I suspect they were changed to 10 deep and a single post because of player safety. The change was probably made sometime in the '70s.

Yeah, that is sorta odd. Ours looks as good or better than theirs (except our midfield logo is too big, but so is theirs and most others). And with our new checked red zone, it looks great.
