...and go with Patterson the rest of the way?

Nah, that would represent moral fortitude and that doesn't exist on that campus.

That would be very un-Ole Miss. Marshall Henderson made it through so I see no reason why they would cut him now.

UM has no choice about Patterson. He has not played by now and he won't this year, most likely ever.

There is a reason why he has not played and it's not cause he is not good...........

no way I wanna see the oncoming trainwreck with LSU Texas A&M and Auburn on tap. But if they benched mgk that could be fun to watch as well.

Is this your opinion from reading this board or do you have some info on the matter

This. I've heard daddy Patterson knows what's coming and the kid doesn't want to lose a year of eligibility

How would that work? If he redshirts this year he would still have to sit out a year if he transferred somewhere else next year. Unless the NCAA grants transfers to players after sanctions aare handed down.

This is the only conclusion one can have at this point......reading and hearing all the smoke. On top of that UM has played the other QB no one has ever heard of.....

What else makes any sense? The kids family basically demanded he not red shirt during recruiting and now all the sudden, he is absent from the line up while the #3 plays.

What do you think?

Hell no.. without Kelly the last two years, or Bo the three before, Freeze wouldn't have a winning season yet.

He ought to drive to Scooba an fellate Buddy every day.

At this point I only have only one question: Why? There are 2 possibilities (reasons Patterson has not played):

1). He wants out due to sanctions that they now realize are coming and he doesn't want to play under them

2). Patterson is implicated in some wrong doing by himself and or family by NCAA

I think the answer to why Shea Patterson is not playing can be found in the info shown in the Rosebowl twitter hack

Kelly doesn't really fit the mold of a Rebel (or Rebal). I noticed after their game Saturday that he met Bielema to congratulate him before Freeze got there and I remember him sticking around to check on Allen after Arkansas beat them last year. A true Rebel would have run through the tunnel sulled up without speaking to anyone. I think the biggest thing working against Kelly is he is dumb as a rock. My guess is that Ole Miss will wash their hands of him as soon as he's gone and when his porn career fails someone will help him write a tell-all book that will make The Blind Side look like the fairytale it really is.

Quit hatin', you don't choose the swag life, the swag life chooses you! In all seriousness, you would have thought they would have learned from the Henderson experiment. They keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome. And if it does happened for the better, you can bet they will crow from the rooftops about how great their program is and how they change lives for the better.

Yeah- it's always win at all costs and if they get a thug like Marshall or Kelly it's "but they deserve a second chance". Of course the ONLY reason they are at Ole Miss in the first place is because no one wanted to bother with the headache on multiple levels. But I guess you do what you have to do as evidenced by the fact that the only reason that they can get anyone worth a darn to go there is to basically pay people out the wazoo plus the players families.

I'm pretty sure most of us would be appalled if Nick Fitzgerald was trying to hook up with porn stars.

I noticed that too, especially after last years game.....the whole Arkansas team was out there celebrating and he elbowed his way through all of them just to tell Allen good game. That definitely changed my opinion of him, because I am pretty sure that I wouldn't have done that after a gut wrenching loss like that one.

Guess Ol Brent Musberger was right!

"Well, I tell you, you quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women!" the broadcaster gushed of Katherine Webb during the BCS game coverage.

I hate to go against the grain, but if Swag played for us you would all think it's ridiculous to suggest we should cut ties with him over this stuff. I mean, if they didn't drop him after the machine gun threat, why would they bail over him hollering at a former porn star on Twitter or running out on the high school field? It's funny and ridiculous, but who really cares? And let's bet honest, from an off the field standpoint, Fitz is a lot more like Swag than he is Dak or Tyler Russell. Glass houses and all that...

He's not any better than any QB we have. The key here is his surrounding cast. He just heaves it up and his 4-5* WR's go catch it for him. Hell, C34 Random could come off the couch this weekend and throw for 300+ with those receivers and a heave and hope mentality.

Can't tell if you're serious, but it sounds like you are... If you don't think Swag is better than what we have currently, I'm not sure you actually watch football. He's not as good as he thinks he is, but acting like he's no better than Fitz or Dam Williams is absurd.

Really it's scheme more than anything. They're betting that they hit a fade at least one out of three times every four downs.

Eh, Swag is no Jim Kelly, but he hits the open man... Fitz pocket presence is getting better, but he's gotta start hitting the guys that are wide open

MGK is light years ahead of Fitz. Fitz gets so amped up he over throws his WRs by 10 yards. His accuracy is a problem. Going to his initial read continuously is a problem. Not going through his progression is a problem. Not stepping up in the pocket is a problem. Pocket presence is still a bit of a problem, although not nearly as much as the others listed.

Overthrows kill you against good secondaries. We haven't really seen one clicking yet, but when we play Bama it's going to be really, really ugly. We might not get 150 yards of total offense.

Without their WR size and talent MGK would over/under throw as many, if not more, throws that Fotz. In just short viewing the other night I saw a dozen throws that were off target or wobbling like a duck, and his receivers went and caught them. The main difference is the bearshart receives attack and fight for the ball no matter where it's thrown. Ours wait for the ball to get to them, and then may not even catch it when it hits them between the numbers.

ETA I think Randy Marsh, I mean C34 could put down the keyboard, throw on some pads, and throw for 300+ yards with their receivers. All you have to do is step back, crow hop and heave the mother f*cker downfield. That's all they do along with bubble screens.
