Seems to be a common theme with the struggling SEC teams. Not named Alabama of course. A&M,Rebs, and UT all have experience at QB and it is paying dividends

Check the offer sheets of our three QB's. We are more than just young and inexperienced. What did our staff see that no one else in the SEC or P5 not see?

No doubt we missed on the guys we wanted to replace Dak. Sandberg and Dobbs come to mind.

I'll put Chad Kelly's JC stats against anything our three showed in HS or in college to date (not counting Tiano's lack of a chance to date).

Some real big names on that list. I wonder how many we seriously had a chance of landing

Well, you see who we settled for with a late "flip" from Southern Miss on Williams.

Miami offered Tiano BTW. Miami knows a little something when it comes to qb's. They have one going in the top 10 this year

So why not let him see the field soon?

Did florida not offer Tiano? I thought they did.

Doesn't list one... shows a bunch of bluebloods with interest, but only Miami with the offer

Maybe we don't want to get him killed behind RS Freshman.

Even Hurts looked terrible that last possession.

Dobbs throws a terrible pick 6. He has been under duress all game....hasmy looked near as good as previous weeks.....the pressure has a huge effect. I wonder how good Hurt or Dobbs would be with our OL..

What did we see in Fritz and his one year as starting QB in a option based O, that we think he can run our Air Dak Attack?

Do you think Dan thought more of fitz or staley when he signed both? I assume staley since he was ranked higher

Take this however you wish. Comparison of Fitz's first 5 starts compared to Dak's first 5. I didn't use UAB as Fitz's first start since he only saw 6 plays. Likewise I didn't use the Bowling Green game where Russell came back from injury and split time with Dak. I used the next game against Ky where Dak started and played 99% of game.

Hope this lines up correctly....

Young SEC quarterbacks look terrible behind a really shitty offensive line.

Then there are a lot of shitty o lines in the SEC because there is certainly some shitty QB play. Not just at State

I really like fitz, but he gets in etreme funks sometimes and needs a series or 2 off. I think fitz can be a good qb for us and needs to start, but we shouldn't let him go long stretches struggling so badly

I know QB is a lightening rod position but our fans are way to hard on Fitz.

He has a weak OL in front of him. No much of a run threat behind. Our best WR has a case of the drops. Yet, the focus of blame is on him.

I agree with you. I think he needs to start also. I think dan needs to find some more creative ways to use his running ability. Watching this Bama game and Hurts is running all over the field. Is Fitz fast enough to do this? Wh?t about the long touchdown run hurts had. Do we run that play? Or does that only work if the defense is so worried trying to stop the running backs?

The flip side of that is - how else will he learn. Raw players - like Dak or Fitz - learn best by playing not by watching. There is no substitute for it. We just like to remember Dak the Heisman candidate, not Dak the Sophomore.

This play requires downfield blocking by the WR's which we don't do very well if at all.

Hurts had two good blocks on the outside.

I agree and I also I think we have been looking from a perspective of a Dak from last year and that isn't fair to Fitz.
