I've got kids 10, 8, and 5 (boy, boy, girl). Looking to buy their first gaming system. Any suggestions?

Also looking to cut cord. Is one gaming system better for that or not? Unlimited data and high speed internet at house.

Thanks

I'd recommend the Playstation 4. You can download apps like Netflix, Youtube, PS Vue, etc to stream video if you have accounts. I've had the PS Vue for 4 months and we love it.

Whatever Pinto! You know this is really for you. There's really only 2 choices, PlayStation and Xbox.

PS4. You can use PSVue. All you might need is an antenna for you locals depending on where you live. Any console will allow you to get netflix, youtube, etc. PSNow is great especially with kids. It gives you unlimited access to a library of playstation games for like 20 bucks a month.

The WatchESPN app is exclusive to the Xbox One right now. Don't know if the PS4 will ever get it.

I've been curious about PS Vue, are you able to get golf channel and tennis channel in HD, espn and other sports channels in HD?

Xbox One is the better console. Beware of the PS4 hipsters telling you different.

They have varying subscriptions, but yes you can: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/

Click on the "Plans" button to see options.

Very cool!! I was still using this link for my info. http://www.espn.com/watchespn/apps I was pissed when they removed it from my Xbox360.

PS4 is the best and we've been using PSVue for months and love it. $35 per month vs. $150 I was paying Comcast and I get all the channels I like to watch! For your kids' ages, you want to google the new Nintendo NX system that's coming out at Christmas. Raise 'em right by introducing them to Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, etc...

The PS4 also has a blu ray player that allows you to play whatever games you've downloaded on your system, on it in another room.

They are both comparable and both due to roll out updated and more powerful versions of the current systems this year. PS4 prob has more tv features.
