defensive scheme looks a little different tonight than what I watched last season.

2014- Manny at La Tech finished 35th in the country in Total D

2015- Manny at State finished 56th in the country in Total D

2016- entering tonight- Manny and Miami are 7th in the country in Total D. Shutting out Fla State so far right before half

Just thought it would be interesting to look and see

Geoff Collins defense is also in the top 10 in total defense and scoring. Maybe it's not them.

It's amazing what happens when the HC is not a arrogant micromanager that wants to run a bend then break defense. I'm sure Sirmon will leave and be all world

I just saw that game was on and flipped over to it. Gonna check 2nd half out. But you're wrong ... Collins and Manny are terrible coordinators. It was a good thing they left *****

How were we able to get such a great DC back a 2nd time? Did you leave out a stop?

Miami hasn't made adjustments, Fsu is kicking some ass. Diaz may be an ok coach but he is awful making adjustments on the fly. Jimbo has figured him out. Maybe Miami will out score them.

Excellent post****. You do know they have played 4 shit teams this year, right??! Of course you do, because you know everything. FSU has put up nearly 300 in the second half on wonderful Manny. Obviously you know the talet pool is much deeper there as well and the ACC is not the SEC West!

The point was that he was allowed to do his thing at Miami unlike with Dan... I dont think hes all that great either, hes best D was ours in 2010 when we had multiple NFL guys.

Maybe, but how many games did Manny lose that he should have won, like tonight, when he was here. We would have been much better last year without Manny. I thought that was one of the absolute worst moves Mullen has ever made by rehiring him. He sucked at freaking TEXAS.

To be fair everybody sucks at Texas these days.

True, but they shouldn't. That is THE recruiting hot bed and most of them are already coached up pretty good.

Oh I know. I think it's a culture problem to be honest. That and recruits they sign just get stars based on committing to Texas

One good thing about getting rid of Dan will hopefully be getting rid of these annoying threads every week.

Mullen used to be the best thing and worst thing about our team. Now he's by far the biggest problem.
