Yes I was there in 60's! And you are correct we always would hit and hit hard. But we also committed stupid penalties just like today! Also had penalties thrown against us that weren't really penalties! That's one thing having every game on TV and having video review has cut down on! You don't see these phantom flags as much. Bama and Ole Miss games especially!
