Gameday was bashing the longhorn boosters and program pretty good. Saying Charlie was set up to fail. What are y'all thoughts on strong? Still a good coach in a bad situation? Possible candidate down the road for somebody?

I agree he was set to fail from the get go. It is interesting how well Louisville has done with different coaches.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Texas was a dumpster fire when he took over and is one of the toughest jobs in the country. Hell, the AD just said he has to win 8 games or he's fired.

I think strong will be better the closer he gets to Florida. Florida is his stomping ground recruiting-wise.

Baloney on he was set up, he has everything he needs, facilities, recruiting, money and a huge alumni base. It's about coaching, he has so much recruiting area and with Texas being Texas Strong is a failure period. He may be a good assistant but he ain't a good HC, he has fired both OC and DC, it's about Charlie Strong.
Not excuse for Strong.
