Florida; Flo-rida; Are they the same thing because they both are screwing us. They both also missed important engagements this weekend.

It seems the BB is on the decline. If modern music wasn't so pitiful, you'd have a lot more choices and bigger crowds to attend. Too bad it's not 1975, or 1987, or even 1994. This event would really draw.

I agree. If Florida was playing in my bathroom, I would close the door. Horrible music. Would rather listen to Cindy Lauper.

Flo Rida did not make it. It was announced on stage. Students were pretty depressed and so were the people from out of town.

I wouldn't know ... never heard of Flo rida. Guess I'll have to break out google and see what it sounds like. I liked Cindy Lauper ....

Edit: Just looked him up and wish I hadn't. They actually hired this rapper guy? "Music" has really hit rock bottom ....

ED had his plane grounded so the students would go home and be at the 11am kick.

Can't count on Florida for anything.

Lulz at y'all thinking flo-rida represents modern music. Literally no one except people going to a shitty club listen to his stuff, and no one things he's a respectable rapper.

Those are the most oxymoronic two words I've ever seen.

They need to quit trying to get artist that were relevant 10 years ago and start looking for the good under the radar bands.

There's good rap music out there. It just ain't flo-rida. In fact, I'd say rap has as many quality artists out there now as there's been since the 90s.

Of course I think it's oxymoronic to say there's good modern country music.

As much as I'd prefer bands like that, most people I knew at msu listened to shitty rap and shitty country. If they wanted to go with a rapper, at least someone like Vince staples or Danny brown would be cool and far more relevant today, but neither are probably dumbed down enough for a frat party type atmosphere.

All this flo-rida talk makes me think about the joke in the 2nd (I think?) episode of Atlanta. Anyone else watching the show knows what I'm talking about.

Get a rock band! I dunno how much a band like Red Hot Chili Peppers would cost but find a great 90s band that is some what still active.

Anyone confirm this?

Honestly, who really cares? Anyone who showed up for that got a better show from an empty stage.

yeah, nothing appeals to 18-22 year old college students like a band who hasn't released anything worth listening to since george h. bush was in office.

also, rhcp would definitely cost a hell of a lot more than flo-rida. they still play arenas and large amphitheaters for crowds of aging dad rockers.

Today's kids would love Chilli Peppers if the saw them.
