If Mullen were to miss a bowl this year and next, I do believe Cohen would fire him as would any new AD.

Stricklin had the qualifications and is a career administrator. Cohen has never been anything at the college level but a baseball coach. A national search firm isn't going to find a career baseball coach to be the best candidate for the job.
