Well yeah it does....he could be a nickel corner and step in and play at a spot we need players badly.

This one doesn't hurt.

Isn't that usually the mantra ... "we didn't want him". Maybe this is true this time ... don't know. Let's spin it tho so it appears that the coaching staff is doing their due diligence.

Didn't someone post the other night we had coaches watching this kid play? Is it coincidence that our coaches go watch Russell and landrews days before de-commitment?

Yep my son goes to school with Abrams at Jones and has classes with him. He's heavy into us.

Hopefully this is the case... I like Abrams better. An even better scenario is Avery about to pull trigger

Not every loss hurts. Sometimes the coaches realize kids aren't sec players and allow the kids to save face.

Just putting this out there. After big dawg camp we almost got him to enroll this fall but to save face with co Lin we elected to let him go back and play at Co Lin. Hopefully it's Abrams saying he is a dawg or there is a two star in Odessa tx we want to "develop "

Werent people who saw him play talking about how good he was?

My guess he flipped his commit because he was on an official visit and got excited. My guess we get him back in the end.

Well we have players that take significant snaps that aren't SEC players so I don't think these coaches are capable of that realization

Haha we don't recruit that far out into Texas. We have what a 35 Mile recruiting radius?****

It's less than that isn't it? Isn't West Point outside the radius? ***

Apparently Starkville high is outside of our recruiting radius.

So I'm guessing everyone knows by now that he didn't decommit, right? He's still a MSU commit.

Landrews did not decommit from MSU. Steve Robertson addressed this yesterday on Boneyard & I also saw it elsewhere on Twitter before I listened to the Boneyard. He's still committed to MSU. Was blown out of proportion.

His family wants him to stay home & play here. It appears there some miscommunication going on somewhere. Hoping that the current MSU commits at Co-Lin will talk some sense into him if there is indeed something to this Minnesota thing, though I'm not sure there is.

Though curiosity killed the cat. I'm going to message Steve & see if he can tell me what the latest is on this. Very strange. Thought all this had been put to rest yesterday.

Paul Jones today says otherwise. Landrews has gone public with his Minnesota flip

Well I would hope a composite low 3* recruit isn't irreplaceable. If he is irreplaceable, then our problems go much deeper than losing a commitment. When guys generally rated as composite low 3* recruits "decommitted", it's because they've been told to look around by the staff and their spot is either not there or it's not guaranteed.

Goldendawg

I've never seen him play or at a Big Dawg camp, but why was he rated so low on 24/7 when he was committed to us?

No wonder our secondary is a disaster if our coaches think low 3* croots are going to all play above expectations and become a sec secondary.

Slay, banks, and Calhoun were pretty good 3* db's. Of course, Redmond (4*) was good too

Calhoun ain't that good. And for every 3* that turns into banks or slay, there's a few dozen that turn into Cleveland. For awhile it looked like Mullen was one of the few coaches who consistently can find the 3* guys that'll outperform their rating, but in the last 3-4 crootin cycles, we haven't been too good at hitting on those guys, which seems to indicate that maybe Mullen just got lucky finding the right 3*, and now he's having a run of missing on those guys. And there's a lot more of those guys that miss than hit.

Calhoun is on the saints' practice squad. I think he's much better than you give him credit for

I think you and I could be on the saints practice squad as a CB right now with all their injuries.
